2009 Annual Report Press Conference
2009 was just as much a year of crisis for LuxairGroup as for the rest of the industry. The 2009 financial result presented on 19 May by Marc Hoffmann, Chairman of the LuxairGroup Board of Directors, and Adrien Ney, LuxairGroup President and CEO to the press, are marked by the general slump from which the entire economy has suffered.

The eruption of Iceland's Eyjafjallajoekull volcano led to a closure of european airspace for 5 days. 22.663 passengers were affected and 4.303 LuxairTours customers blocked in their holiday resorts.
For smooth handling of the crisis and repatriation of customers, LuxairGroup thanks its customers, its partners, its staff and all the helping hands that were involved in managing this crisis.
We also thank our customers for the multitude of thank yous we got from them. Satisfied customers are our most precious reward.
